Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Directed, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Directed," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy applies to directed.ai and all associated subdomains, as well as any web applications and mobile applications operated by Directed.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We may collect information you choose to provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, participate in group video chats, communicate with us, or otherwise use the Services. This may include:
- Name, username, or other account identifiers
- Email address or other contact information
- Content you submit, including text, audio, and video
Camera and Microphone Access
Our web and mobile applications include group video chat features with AI functionality. To provide these features, we may request access to your device's camera and microphone. Audio and video are used to enable real-time communication and related functionality within the Services.
Google Account and Google Contacts
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. With your permission, we also access your Google contacts (including Google's "other contacts"), which may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and organizations. Granting the contacts permission is optional; you can decline it and still use the Services.
Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device information (such as device type, operating system, and browser)
- IP address and general location information
- Usage data, such as pages viewed, features used, and interactions
2. Google User Data
We use Google user data only to provide user-facing features of the Services:
- Signing you in and setting up your account and profile
- Suggesting people you may know on Directed, by matching your contacts against registered users; where contact details are used for matching, we compare one-way hashed identifiers
- Letting you view your imported contacts and auto-completing email addresses when you invite someone to a chat
We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. We do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide these features (for example, to our hosting providers), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
We keep your imported Google contacts while your account is active and refresh them when you sign in with Google. You can delete them at any time from within the Services or by contacting us, and you can revoke Directed's access to your Google data at any time in your Google account settings.
Directed's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How We Share Information
